1) Introduction

1a Knight Marines as People

A knight marine has to be one of the most physically powerful and intelligent members of his or her race because of the high levels of physical and mental stress a Knight Marine may encounter.

1b Knight Marines as an organization

Roughly half of the surviving historic legions were Holy Orders currently only one of those orders survives to the present date. (Grail Knights (Knights of the grail of sketches)

2) History

2.1 The Knights of the Fasketh Empire

The seeds of what would one day become the Knight marines are truly ancient starting in the equivalent of medieval Europe for Shathes prime in the Empire of Fasketh on the north west of the continent of Askatar.

The Knights of the court of the emperor of Fasketh were split into Holy orders or Heroic Orders.

These orders survived many changes and additions during the centuries the Fasketh Empire expanded till there was only 1 kingdom on the Shathar Homeworld and the name changed to the Shathar Empire.

2.2 Space Knights

During the Space age and the Shathars expansion onto other planets in there system some of the Knightly battalions of the Shathar Marines were upgraded with the first armoured spacesuits and became Knight Marines after a new Holy Battalion the Star Knights.
