Gibraltar celebrates the Annual Temporal Federation Day with great enthusiasm. It is, however, a bittersweet holiday as this is the first observance of the holiday since the Gamma Burst. Everyone is determined to show that despite all, the Federation is as strong as ever and will go on despite all that has happened. However, amid the celebration, the Hutt crime family slips undetected into the city and tries to establish a base of operation there.

A nice peaceful morning on Dobson III is shattered with the discovery of the dead body, obviously a victim of murder. To make matters worse, the cause of death is beyond belief: two punctures in the neck and total loss of blood. The facts are few, but the picture is clear, there is a demon stalking the colony. The question is, are the old stories really true, or is there something even more sinister going on?
