Interview With General Jade By: Arned Darvin, GNN GNN:
Thank you for spending a little time to speak with us General Jade. Jade: It is a pleasure GNN: How are you adjusting to your new position
as supreme commander of the timefleet? Jade: I think I am adapting well to my new position
here. Everyday is a new adventure here GNN: You are taking command just before the
holiday. Has this presented any special
challenges for you? Jade: Yeah it has with my new position here I
have to kind of take it back a few more notches then I am used to. I am used to
going in to the heart of danger but these days I can't. GNN: I
believe you are the first AI to ever hold this post. How do you feel about that? Jade: I feel fine about it. It just means that
there is no real mold for me to conform to. It means that what ever I do I am
setting standards for any other AI that might come in after the fact. GNN: What
are your thoughts about this years Temporal Federation Day? Jade: I think that the people behind this, a lot
of thought and time. I also think that during this time of great joy people
have been able to see what I am like and enjoy themselves a lot more especially
after all the tragedy that happened here. GNN: Is Timefleet Headquarters planning a big
celebration? Jade: Let me just say it is going to be a day
none will forget. GNN: Thank you once again for taking time from
your busy schedule General. Do you have anything else to add? Jade: There are a couple of things I would like
to add. First of all I would like to say that my position here is the greatest
honor I have ever had placed upon me. I have been through a lot in New Scotland
and that is just for starters. Second if it was not for some one who had placed
his faith in me I would never have gotten this honor. GNN: May I ask who is that person? Jade: It was General Paul White the former CO of
Timefleet GNN:
Well, those are all the questions I have. Thank you General Jade: It was no problem at all Holiday Countdown Continues Preparations in Full Swing By: Arned Darvin, GNN With but three days left
until the Temporal Federation Day holiday, the weather net has promised to
bring all good weather until then with the average daily daytime highs ranging
from 30 to 35 Celsius, cooling at nights to 20 to 25. No rain is
expected. As the countdown to the
holiday continues, tourists and other visitors to Gibraltar continue to arrive.
The final visitor count is expected to exceed five million. Merchants continue to
set up shop while the various military units continue to practice for the many
parades and exhibitions that will take place on the holiday. Planetary Security has
added extra patrols to make sure everyone is kept safe and Medical Minister
Tu’Rok has put out a statement saying that numerous First Aid stations are
being set up in many of the larger venues in the city and will be staffed all
day. Rumours continue to
spread about the arrival of the notorious Hutt family on Gibraltar although it
cannot be confirmed. When asked, the Chief of Planetary Security merely stated
that all officers will be on the lookout and extra precautions are being
taken. An updated schedule of
events can be found on the GNN information channel. Temporal Federation Day Holiday
Approaches Tourist Invasion By: Arned Darvin, GNN While all of Gibraltar
prepares for the upcoming Temporal Federation day holiday, thousands of
tourists and other visitors begin to pour in from all over the Federation and
beyond. This year’s holiday
promises to be one of the biggest and best in years as President KaRae Daelan
has declared that this shall be a time of remembrance and renewal as we move
farther away from the time of the Gamma Burst, the second most deadly event to
hit the Federation in the five years. The holiday, which is
only four days away, will have a multitude of shows and events highlighting the
many talents of the Federation at its best. There will be a space and air show
with halo demonstrations. There will be a parade of the Federated Worlds with
fireworks, concerts and many other events. The Gibraltar News
Network will have sunrise to sunset coverage of the festivities with anchors
covering all of the events. A schedule of all
Temporal Federation Day activities can be found on the Federation Information
Channel. Metallic Monsters Strike
Again Can move through
Time By: Arned Darvin,
GNN From a time and place
unknown, Gibraltar has been besieged by deadly metallic monsters. The creatures, known as Replicators, somehow
arrived on our world which had not long ago survived the deadly ravaged of a
Gamma Burst nearly unscathed. The Bugs, as they are
sometimes referred to, have somehow managed to get a foothold once again on our
lovely world, which is the headquarters of the Temporal Federation, despite
repeated assurances that our Military is the best in the known universe. If
ours is truly the best, how is it that these creatures, who were defeated once
before, managed to return to Gibraltar without so much as a challenge? For the second time in
the past three months, the spaceport has been leveled with the added bonus of
all spacecraft which were housed at the facility being destroyed, Darvin
continued. In this reporter's opinion, if our military can't cut it then
perhaps we need a shake up in the Planetary Militia Darvin's face then
replaced the image of the shuttle port. It has been extremely difficult to get
any information from any of the government agencies on this current crisis,
though it is highly advisable that everyone remain indoors and out of the path
of these shimmering invaders. To make
the already difficult situation more complex, it is believed these Replicators
have somehow added temporal technology to their arsenal making their ultimate defeat extremely problematic. |
